The judges were very impressed by both schools work in researching their ideas, including interviewing staff and pupils, and commented that the teams have done really well to produce some good ideas which have potential for implementation / development within their schools. It was a very close call, but the winners are Park Hall Academy, and St Paul’s Academy are very close runners up.

Many congratulations to you both – it was very close! Both teams had a great approach to the project, and proposed well thought out ideas. Park Hall’s proposal had the edge however as it was an easy to implement idea, well researched and very well presented, and had implications for the use of ICT in other areas of the curriculum. The quality of the posts on the blog was very high and the judges very much enjoyed working with the students.

Many congratulations again to all those who took part. Both teams are invited to come to UBS in London in September to learn about the use of IT in the workplace.

St. Paul’s Academy is a mixed comprehensive school in South East London (Abbey Wood). Two features of the Academy are the specialisms in Sport and Enterprise which have been incorporated into the day-to-day life of its students. Some characteristics of the two specialisms are common to both and, in a specialist school setting, are implemented throughout the curriculum
